About this project
These are the metal albums I’ve been releasing since finishing The Redeemer Project.
The name “Death Astonished” comes from a line in the Requiem mass that says “Death and nature will be astonished, when all creation rises from the grave to answer to the Judge.” It gave me this comical idea of the Grim Reaper, stopped dead in his tracks, and completely dumbfounded by what he’s just witnessed. And the scripture tells us that’s what will happen eventually. Death will be utterly confounded and defeated when Jesus Christ returns and the dead will be raised to face judgement.
That concept eventually became a song, and that song became part of an album, and then that album became the debut release for this project.
